“Among these beneficiaries, 33,000 positions are available in the education sector, at different levels of education, which meets the needs of the Ministry of National Education in teachers. There are also 7,000 positions available in paramedical training, allowing graduates to integrate various health establishments affiliated with the Ministry of Health, “said the supervision spokesperson.
On the program of “The morning guest”, of which he was the host this Sunday, Abdeldjebar Daoudi described these “unprecedented” figures in the history of higher education in Algeria, and that in total these 40,000 budgetary positions represent the equivalent of more than 14 % of the baccalaureate holders of this year, who will benefit from an indefinite contract (CDI) immediately after graduation.
Regarding doctorate competitions, Daoudi has provided total transparency via digital, where the spokesperson for higher education announced the organization of a national doctoral competition for the new university year 2025/2026, which includes 4,012 finance positions, distributed in all specialties and through all university establishments.
“Each establishment will be free to set the date of the competition, which should start in early October,” said Abdeldjebar Daoudi on Algerian radio waves, while indicating that the process of appointment and participation will be entirely digital, with rules guaranteeing transparency and equal opportunities.
The official recruitment and the enrollment of the selected candidates will take place in November. In terms of medical education development in the south of the country, the guest of channel I revealed the opening of 5,095 new positions in the field of medical training, including more than 480 positions allocated to students in the South to register for medical studies, an increase of 34 % compared to the year 2020.

About foreign students, Daoudi said that “the Algerian University is experiencing its golden age” and that Algeria has become a flagship destination for many African and Arab students, in addition to the international recognition of graduates from Algerian universities thanks to its remarkable presence on the international university scene. The spokesman recalled that Algerian universities welcomed more than 65,000 African students of 45 nationalities, in addition to those in 21 Arab countries, while the interest of 25 other internationalities, including students from the United States, Europe and Asia, has also increased.
Finally, Abdeldjebar Daoudi explained that the specializations most sought after by foreign students are artificial intelligence, drone control technologies and medical sciences.
