503 individuals including 3 supporters of terrorist groups arrested

As part of the fight against terrorism, crime and banditry, the forces of the People’s National Army (ANP) in coordination with the various security services, arrested five hundred and three (503) individuals involved in several and related crimes. on several charges. According to a press release from the Ministry of National Defense (MDN), three elements supporting terrorist groups were arrested by detachments of the ANP, during separate operations across the national territory, during the period from May 29 to 4 June.
The same statement from the Ministry of National Defense (MDN) added that as part of the efforts of the National People’s Army and the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of the ANP executed, during the period from May 29 to June 4, 2024, several operations resulting in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory.
On the other hand and as part of the fight against organized crime, and “in continuation of the sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of the ANP intercepted, in coordination with the various services security during operations carried out across the Military Regions, 71 drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce 102 kilograms of processed kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while 500,519 psychotropic tablets were seized.
Still and according to the press release from the Ministry of National Defense (MDN), detachments of the People’s National Army (ANP) arrested two hundred and forty-five (245) individuals and seized 37 vehicles, 215 generators , 137 jackhammers, 11 metal detectors, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations.
Likewise, “13 other individuals were intercepted and 6 hunting rifles, 17,142 liters of fuel, 64 tonnes of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation and 58 quintals of tobacco were seized during separate operations across the territory national’. Moreover,
“171 illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory,” concluded the MDN.
