The Central wilayas, like other regions of the country, recorded, on Thursday, major housing distribution operations of different formulas, the kick-off of which was given from Béjaïa, by the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, Towns and Regional Planning, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi. On this occasion marking the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious November Revolution, the minister kicked off a national distribution operation of 144,601 housing units, all formulas combined.
He also supervised in Bejaïa the distribution of 509 public rental housing (LPL) and 2,045 rural housing aids. In Blida, local authorities submitted allocation decisions for 166 LPL, bringing to more than 4,000 the number of units of this formula distributed since 2023. In Tipasa, 462 housing units were allocated, including 230 LPL and 232 assisted promotional housing (LPA), i.e. around a hundred in Tipasa and 132 in Hadjout, which are in addition to the 36,231 units (all formulas combined) received over the last five (5) years and the 12,252 currently under construction. In the wilaya of Djelfa, 3,833 social housing developments and 3,815 rural housing aids have been distributed, while 7,000 LPL units are under construction. In Chlef, local authorities distributed 1,860 rural construction aids, 786 LPA housing units and 294 LPL units. Nearly 6,000 other housing units (all options combined) are currently under construction, while work on more than 10,000 other housing units is scheduled to begin next year. In the wilaya of Médéa, 636 housing units were allocated, including 399 LPL, 237 LPA and 44 rural housing aid. In Tizi-Ouzou, 589 LPL housing units were distributed to beneficiaries from different municipalities. The wilaya of Bouira recorded the distribution of 875 housing units of different formulas, including 640 LPL, 200 LPA, and 25 free promotional housing units.
In Boumerdès, 1,600 housing units were allocated, including 1,500 LPL and 100 LPA. n
