IDF: In a Blatant Violation of the Ceasefire Agreement, the Hezbollah Terrorist Organization Is Operating To Reestablish Its Assets in the Village of Beit Lif

The Hezbollah terrorist organization has been working to rebuild its capabilities in the village of Beit Lif in southern Lebanon, in a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

IDF troops, led by the Northern Command and in coordination with the Intelligence Directorate, identified dozens of terrorist infrastructure sites in the area of the village, including headquarters and weapons storage facilities belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization. Hezbollah places these inside the civilian homes of the village’s residents and adjacent to civilian buildings and facilities.

Hezbollah’s activity in the village of Beit Lif is one of many examples of Hezbollah’s attempts to reestablish its assets throughout Lebanon, with an emphasis on rural areas. The presence of these terrorist infrastructure sites and the terrorist organization’s activity in these areas constitute a severe violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
Hezbollah continues to endanger the villages and their residents while exploiting the civilian environment to advance terrorist activities.

Some of the targets in the village were transferred in recent months through the mechanism for implementing the understandings and were not addressed.
The IDF will continue monitoring these violations and operate against them in order to remove any threat and protect the State of Israel.
