IDF: The Israel Defense Forces’ J6 and Cyber Defense Directorate and the Intelligence Directorate, and the Cyber National Mission Force, Joint Force Headquarters Centre Army (JFHQ-C), affiliated with Central Command, concluded the 10th annual CyberDome exercise at the end of last week (Thursday).

More than 120 Cyber specialists from both Military cyber units attended a US military secure location in the United States, at a top-of-the-art cyber facility, and trained together, keyboard to keyboard, shoulder to shoulder, against a variety of relevant cyber threats. The exercise was formed in response to regional changes and challenges in the cyber dimension over the past two years. It is an activity whose primary purpose is to facilitate operational coordination and regional stability.

The CyberDome exercise was initially launched in 2015. These exercises help to build a solid ground for military cyber operational cooperation between the two nations.

From the remarks of the Head of the J6 and Cyber Defense Directorate, MG Aviad Dagan:
“Behind every overt campaign, there is also a covert one. We operate together with USCYBERCOM tirelessly to ensure superiority against any threat, from any direction.
The events published thus far do not fully represent the cyber threat. We must not make a mistake – this is an issue that is at the very heart of our national security.
Over the past two years, dozens of enemy attempts to damage and disable national systems have been thwarted – these attempts will increase.
We are facing enemies who will try to exploit every vulnerability in our defense systems. We do not have the privilege of falling behind. On the contrary, we have a duty to protect the security of Israel. Together with our allies, we are developing projects and systems that do exactly that”.
