Nine elements supporting terrorist groups and one hundred and ten drug traffickers were arrested by the forces of the People’s National Army in separate operations across several regions of the country while a terrorist surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, said a statement from the Ministry of Defense (MDN).

However, as part of the fight against organized crime, and “in continuation of the sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of the ANP intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out across the Military Regions, 110 drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce 310 kg of processed cannabis from the borders with Morocco, while 3,370 kg of cocaine and 194,279 psychotropic tablets were seized. , specifies the press release.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and In Guezzam, ANP detachments “arrested 326 individuals and seized 56 vehicles, 132 generators, 107 jackhammers, 12 metal detectors, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations.
