🙏🏻🇮🇱 Netanyahu Visits Students Wounded in Deadly Northern Israel Explosion, Orders Widespread Searches for Unexploded Munitions
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Education Minister Yoav Kisch visited Rambam Hospital to meet those wounded in the northern Israel school-trip explosion and their families, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
Eitan Masauri, 14, who suffered a shrapnel wound to his neck, recalled: “I realized I was wounded. I saw that a friend was wounded, and I tried to help him.”
Netanyahu instructed the Home Front Command chief to reinforce public safety guidance, emphasize that unexploded munitions must never be touched, and conduct searches across wide areas to locate them.
The explosion at Ramim Ridge near the Lebanon border killed a teenage boy and injured 24 others, according to emergency services. The IDF’s preliminary assessment points to an unexploded Hezbollah rocket submunition; the circumstances remain under investigation.
