Ukrainian government allocates nearly US$100,000 more for defence line construction

The government has allocated an additional UAH 3.88 billion (roughly US$99.5 million) for further construction of defence lines.

Details: From these funds, UAH 1.7 billion (US$43.3 million) will be allocated to Kharkiv Oblast, and UAH 1.5 billion (US$38.2 million) for fortifications in Sumy Oblast. Additional resources will also be provided to Donetsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts.

In total, since the beginning of the year, the government has allocated nearly UAH 30 billion (US$761 million) for the construction and arrangement of fortifications.

Background: The government has allocated an additional UAH 5.6 billion (US$143.6 million) to construct fortifications in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts.
