The United States and its allies will not directly participate in the destruction of drones that Russia uses to attack Ukraine, John Kirby, a spokesman for the US National Security Council, said during a press conference on April 15.
When asked by a journalist why the United States and allies are helping to shoot down Iranian drones in the skies over Israel, but cannot do the same for Ukraine, Kirby replied: “Different conflicts, different airspace, different threat picture. And the president made it clear from the very beginning conflict in Ukraine: the United States does not intend to intervene in this conflict as a combatant.”
President Zelensky emphasized the effectiveness of Israel’s defense and said that terror must be defeated everywhere, not just in specific places.
