Germany will transfer another Patriot air defense system to Ukraine
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that Germany will transfer another Patriot system to Ukraine in addition to the two previously transferred.
“I am grateful to the Chancellor for the decision to supply another Patriot system to Ukraine and missiles for existing air defense systems at a critical time,” said Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. He added: “I call on all other leaders of partner states to follow this example.”
Previously the country increased also the supply of Gepard ammunition. The German defence ministry said in a post on X that the new Patriot system would be handed over immediately and that it was in addition to air defence systems already delivered and planned.
