Algeria Post issued three postage stamps on Thursday, highlighting the iron mines of Gara Djebilet (Tindouf), the zinc mines of Tala Hamza (Béjaia) and the phosphate mines of Bled El Hadba (Tébessa), on the occasion of the celebration of the 58th anniversary of the nationalization of mines.
The first day cancellation of these commemorative stamps took place in the presence of the Ministers of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, and of Post and Telecommunications, Karim Bibi Triki during the ceremony celebrating the 58th anniversary of the nationalization of mines (May 6, 1966) and the 57th anniversary of the creation of the National Company for Mining Research and Exploitation (Sonarem) (May 11, 1967).
These philatelic issues, each measuring 36 x 26 mm and with a face value of 25 DA, are illustrated by creative drawings representing the three mines.
