The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab affirmed, Thursday in Algiers, the need to increase the added value of the mining sector, which will make it possible to reduce the import bill and develop several industrial sectors.
The minister’s statements came during the ceremony celebrating the 58th anniversary of the nationalization of mines and the 57th anniversary of the creation of the National Company for Mining Research and Exploitation (Sonarem), held at the International Conference Center (CIC ) “Abdelatif Rahal” in Algiers, under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Mr. Nadir Larbaoui, represented during this ceremony by his chief of staff, Mourad Benameur, in the presence of several members of the Government.
