Unveiling the slogan of the next presidential elections scheduled for the beginning of September 2024, the president of the Independent National Electoral Authority, Mohamed Chorfi revealed, yesterday, the issuance of a decision aimed at supervising in a manner participatory the electoral process in a democratic manner, whether at the level of voting or at the level of the processing and counting of electoral votes.
The Head of the Independent National Electoral Authority declared, during a speech delivered yesterday in Algiers, that the slogan of the current presidential elections “will be to strengthen credibility through the free choice of the people”, observed the interlocutor.
“Our slogan that we adopted for these elections is to consolidate the democratic electoral path. “, declared the head of the Independent National Electoral Authority, the latter explained that “all the councils had been renewed thanks to the organization of the previous elections”, he noted.
“From the municipality to the National People’s Assembly and the National Assembly, all have been renewed for the pre-elections, which means that it is a double bet,” clarified Mohamed Chorfi. During his intervention yesterday, the representative of the said National Authority added that “the election itself is not easy, and advance voting doubles its difficulty because we are racing against time and this requires prior preparation,” he said. Furthermore, Mohamed Chorfi indicated that the Independent National Electoral Authority is working in joint collaboration with other sectors, citing, on this occasion, the Ministry of the Interior and local officials until all places and financial means, including fiber optic connectivity, are equipped, “participatory supervision of the electoral process will be undertaken by all the stakeholders concerned,” observed Mohamed Lamine. In this wake, Mohamed Chorfi, head of the Independent National Electoral Authority, revealed the issuance of a decision aimed at participatory supervision of the electoral process in a democratic manner, whether at the level of voting or at the level of processing and the counting of electoral votes. Continuing his intervention, Chorfi underlined that thanks to the participatory control of the electoral process, “the Independent National Electoral Authority will have the possibility of giving and monitoring the vote without compromising the organization or even affecting its credibility”, reassures -he. According to the head of the Independent National Electoral Authority: “This participatory supervision gives renewed enthusiasm to voters,” he will say, while indicating that “at the same time, it adds to credibility. “Civil society, political parties and candidates will testify to this,” judged Mohamed Chorfi, during his intervention yesterday, on the subject of the next presidential elections which will be held at the beginning of September.
