The Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi unveiled, the day before yesterday Saturday, in Algiers, the typology of cities to be built within the framework of the rental-purchase housing program ”AADL – 3”. “From an urban planning point of view, a new method has been adopted for the next edition of the “AADL-3” rental-purchase housing formula,” he indicated. Ensuring that the operations of choosing the land bases to house the ”AADL -3” housing as well as the development of the specifications have been completed.
Speaking on the sidelines of his inspection visit to the urban center 13,330 and 10,507 housing units in Sidi Abdallah in Algiers, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi affirmed that subscribers will be entitled to housing in buildings of 20+1 and 15+1 floors with six apartments each.
“The elevators that will be built in the new “AADL-3” buildings will be manufactured in Algeria. An elevator manufacturing factory, the result of an Algerian-Italian partnership, will see the light of day,” continued the Minister of Housing.
Noting that all arrangements have been made for this rental-purchase housing program, very popular with the middle strata of society.
For example, continued Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, there will no longer be premises at the foot of buildings in this “AADL-3” rental-purchase housing program as was the case in previous editions. From now on, he said, there will be two-story shopping centers where various necessary products will be on sale.
“Green spaces, swimming pools, local stadiums, open-air theaters as well as electric car charging stations are planned in the new cities,” he added. Making it known that unlike previous editions, subscribers to the ”AADL -3” will not wait forever before benefiting from their accommodation.
The projects, further assured the Minister of Housing, will be carried out at a rapid pace. “The construction work of the buildings will begin in parallel with that of the public facilities in the “AADL -3” cities,” said Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, affirming that his department has proceeded to correct the errors made in “the ‘AADL 2” in 2013.
On another note, the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City, announced the distribution of nearly 40,000 housing units as part of the “AADL” rental-purchase formula in the wilaya of Algiers, on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of Independence on July 5.
“We assure subscribers that we will be on time for the distribution of 40,000 housing units in the capital in general, on July 5, including 20,000 units in Sidi Abdellah,” said Mohamed Tarek Belaribi. Ensuring that these completed housing units have all the necessary amenities, after his ministerial department has ensured that the construction of housing and the construction of public facilities is reconciled.
Welcoming the speed of completion of the urban center of 13,300 housing units in Sidi Abdellah, work on which began at the end of 2021, the Minister of Housing announced that the rate of progress of the work on the 10,507 housing project, including the kick-off was given by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on July 5, 2023, is 80%, the concrete work having been completed, while the work on the various networks will soon begin.
For his part, the general director of the AADL, Fouad Mokrani, noted the completion of the housing works as well as the three-dimensional exterior development of the 13,300 housing project, with notable progress in the road works and the primary and secondary networks, including electricity, gas and fiber optics.
