The Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production on Thursday denied the information relayed on social networks reporting the temporary closure of the Fiat factory in Oran due to the theft of 132 Fiat engines, describing it as ” baseless rumor.
“We have noted that false information has been published on social networks, indicating that the Fiat factory in Oran was temporarily closed due to the theft of 132 Fiat engines,” notes the department of Ali Aoun, also deploring the fact that “the photo of the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production was associated with this publication”.
The ministry “denies this information and reveals that it is a rumor without any basis”, he specified, while affirming that “the factory is currently continuing its activity without any incident being reported”, concludes the press release.
