The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad Mr. Lounes Magrramane chaired a meeting with Algerian consuls in Europe and North America. The two-day meeting was organized at the Algerian embassy in Paris in the presence of Mr. Moussi Saïd, Algerian ambassador to France. Indeed, as part of the implementation of the directives of Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic, relating to the management of the concerns of the Algerian community established abroad,
Mr. Lounes Magramane, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited France where he met with the heads of consular posts in Europe and North America. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lounes Magramane, inquired about the measures adopted, under the leadership of high national authorities, in order to raise the quality of services to match the attachment of Algerian nationals to motherhood. homeland in order to meet their multiple and pressing expectations.
On this subject, the Algerian consuls in Europe and North America noted the positive impact of the new provisions recently announced in favor of members of our community abroad, particularly with regard to the reduction of conditions of travel during the summer period, the extension of working hours and days, the reintroduction of the appointment system, the covering of the costs of repatriating remains and other administrative facilitations.
Furthermore, this meeting was an opportunity for the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide an overview of the progress recorded in the renewal of biometric passports, giving rise to an exchange of views and experiences on the additional measures to be taken. even to enable the Algerian diplomatic and consular apparatus to face the challenges and to further facilitate the progress of this operation at the level of our external services. This meeting, which was organized a few months before the presidential elections, also made it possible to review all the aspects linked to this important national political meeting with a view to bringing together all the conditions for its success. Practical guidance and precise directives were given to the heads of consular posts in order to strengthen the quality of care for our community abroad, in the spirit of President Tebboune’s stated desire to offer it a place of choice for the diplomatic action of our country and to ensure its full participation in the building of the New Algeria. On this same subject, the Algerian community established in France welcomes the directives taken by the President of the Republic and hopes that all the measures will be implemented in order to allow Algerian nationals to resolve their numerous administrative problems.
In short, the renewal and granting of passports, particularly for Algerians in an irregular situation on French territory and in several European countries, as well as the withdrawal of consular cards and documents relating to exemptions from military service, remain the first major concern and of our nationals established abroad.
