The military has announced that an airstrike has killed Qassem Saqlawi, the leader of Hezbollah’s rocket and missile unit within its coastal division.
The drone strike, which took place in the Tyre area, targeted Saqlawi yesterday.
While Hezbollah confirmed his death following the strike, they did not acknowledge his role as a commander.
According to the IDF, Saqlawi was behind numerous rocket and anti-tank guided missile attacks on Israel from southern Lebanon’s coastal region during the conflict.
In addition, the IDF reported that fighter jets destroyed a Hezbollah rocket launcher in Ramyeh, southern Lebanon. Overnight, several rockets were launched from Lebanon, landing in open areas in the Western Galilee.
