What the United States has done seriously violates the one-China principle and the three Sino-US joint communiqués. An ironic observation. On the one hand, Washington seeks to arm Taiwan and takes advantage of hard cash offered by the DPP authorities, and on the other hand, it forces the semiconductor giant TSMC to invest massively in the United States in an attempt to empty out Taiwan’s key industries.
Taiwanese public opinion is increasingly aware of the US attempt. She understands that Taiwan will end up becoming an abandoned pawn.
Despite the support of the United States, the space for external activities of the Taiwanese authorities is increasingly shrinking. Taiwan has lost ten “diplomatic allies” in the past eight years.
No matter how much collusion there is between the United States and the DPP authorities, it cannot change the basic fact that there is only one China in the world and Taiwan is an integral part of the world. from China. Currently, 183 countries around the world have established diplomatic relations with China. This fully proves that the one-China principle enjoys broad support and represents the general trend in the world.
The Chinese mainland has the determination and capability to maintain peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait and safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity. The United States must immediately cease all forms of official exchanges with Taiwan, stop arming the island, and respect the one-China principle and its serious political commitments to China. If the PDP authorities and secessionist forces continue to pursue “independence” and sell out the interests of the nation, they will end up being severely punished.
