Exercice de simulation d’extinction d’un feu de forêt – Le Jeune Indépendant


The simulated scenario of extinguishing a forest fire was organized by the Civil Protection command of the wilaya of Tipasa last Monday, under the aegis of the wali. It consists of a start of three distinct lights. Two in Chenoua, more precisely at a place called Taline and the forest of douar Zouaoui, and a third in a grove in Sidi Semiane.

This practical exercise aims to “exploit the fire-fighting system, to put the Civil Protection intervention units in a state of operationality with a view to constantly intervening. The maneuver also aims to raise the degree of vigilance of the rapid intervention units and to inquire about operational coordination between the units and the forestry services of the wilaya of Tipasa as well as the services of the National Gendarmerie (GN), and this in terms of effective and rapid intervention to contain outbreaks of fire”.

This exercise therefore aims to deal with forest fires, to raise awareness among citizens adjoining forest areas of the need to preserve these natural spaces from fires, in addition to devoting awareness campaigns for the benefit of citizens who flock to the forests adjoining them. the coastline of the wilaya of Tipasa.

To perfect and put the Civil Protection agents in tune with this operation, the command has planned for this exercise as climatic data a heat wave reaching 40° C and violent winds of 80 km/h, by mobilizing enormous resources materials as part of the campaign to fight forest fires, which began on May 1.

The three exercises carried out made it possible to observe the degree of preparation of the 13 essential parties involved and having participated directly or indirectly in this operation (Civil Protection, Forest Conservation, security services, health, trade, solidarity, transmissions, habitat, energy, water resources, public works, etc.) as well as the level of coordination between them. The three operations were monitored from the command post, installed since the 1er May at the locality of Chenoua. According to the specialists on site, this grandiose operation was a success.
