As part of the action plan developed by the Wilaya Police relating to the fight against multifaceted crime in urban areas, in application of the provisions repressing attacks on people and property in order to ensure the peace and serenity of populations, the police services reporting to the Daïra Security of Ain Beida and Ain Fakroun have on 19/5/2024 organized vast operations targeting cities and urban neighborhoods strongholds of banditry and frequented by thugs and the prisoners of justice in the two cities cited above, it was indicated on 20/5/2024 by the communication unit of the Wilaya Security. The multiple and uninterrupted actions carried out by the police resulted in the neutralization of 9 individuals wanted by the judicial authorities, charged in several criminal cases. The same source specifies that 7 drug traffickers were arrested in their possession of psychotropic tablets and processed kif and 3 other suspects in possession of prohibited bladed weapons (tear gas bombs and knives). Control operations carried out by police elements also arrested an individual for practicing witchcraft. In the same wake, elements of this body seized 11 motorcycles for non-possession of regulatory documents. It should also be noted that during business control operations, the police noted 9 offenses linked to registry and business defects, illegal sale on public roads and opening of a games room without any authorization.
