Algeria is moving steadily towards a diversified economy

FNTPGC Congress:

The representative of the Minister of Energy and Mines, Rachid Nadhir declared, Saturday in Oran, that Algeria is moving forward “towards a strong and diversified economy”.
In his speech at the 5th Congress of the National Federation of Oil, Gas and Chemical Workers (Fntpgc), affiliated with the UGTA, Mr. Nadhir affirmed that “the public authorities are working tirelessly to put workers in the Energy sector in the best conditions, in order to meet the challenge facing the national economy.
He added that “for the challenge to be met, it is necessary to win the challenge of continuity to achieve leadership on an international scale in the field of hydrocarbons, by uniting the efforts of workers in the sector, which is the locomotive of the national economy, under the banner of the National Union of Algerian Workers.
For his part, the representative of the Chairman and CEO of Sonatrach, Omar Bouri, in his intervention affirmed that “Sonatrach, which constitutes the locomotive of the national economy, works tirelessly to rise to high levels in production and ‘investment, in order to consolidate strong foreign exchange earnings’.
He added that to achieve this objective, “the National Oil Group has developed an ambitious program in line with the transformations and mutations that the Energy sector is experiencing, on a global scale, in particular the transition from energy fossil fuel to renewable energies.
