L’apport de la diaspora en débat – Le Jeune Indépendant


The large conference room of the Ali-Lounici Blida 2 University hosted, last Thursday, the work of the conference of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council under the theme: “Integration and participation of the national community residing abroad in the process of national renewal”, organized by the committee of Algerians living abroad.

The meeting took place in the presence of representatives of the two Houses of Parliament, the chairman of the committee on foreign affairs, international cooperation and the Algerian community abroad, as well as the university family. Rabia Kharfi, president of the CNESE, affirmed, during her intervention, that this initiative is part of the vision of the President of the Republic, who underlined the enormous potential of the Algerian community abroad and encouraged its effective integration into economic life and social development.

This conference represents a framework for reflection and constructive dialogue in line with the philosophy of participatory governance adopted by the CNESE with a view to activating and facilitating this dynamic and embodying them on the ground, in addition to strengthening all the networks of interaction between Algerian communities and national institutions, in order to promote the transfer of knowledge and skills, according to Ms. Kherfi. She added that this initiative also aims to assess the current role and identify the obstacles to the role of the community abroad and the gaps that prevent its integration to prepare a roadmap and strategy for the purposes of activating the networks interaction and cooperation with national institutions.

For his part, the rector of the University of Blida 2, Adel Mazoug, stressed that this distinguished meeting demonstrates what the university is doing today in terms of openness to state institutions on the international level, and that the holding of this meeting clearly testifies to the great interest shown in our community abroad, based on the core of belonging, which is the main driving force in the consciousness of Algerians, to bear responsibility for the achievement of national development.

In the same context, the president of the committee of Algerians living abroad, Dr. Iman Wahib, explained that the activities of the symposium were devoted to the development of a clear and effective strategy to activate and promote the contribution of the national community abroad in the process of national construction and development and in the achievement of major and global objectives, as well as in the establishment of channels of communication and effective participation in the dynamics and projects of national development as the ultimate goal of this noble interaction.

In the same context, she underlined the permanent commitment of the CNESE to benefit from the unique energies and capacities of the Algerian community residing abroad with a view to contributing to the process of sustainable and global development of the nation, in accordance with the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
