21 structuring projects soon launched in several wilayas

The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Omar Rekkache, announced, Saturday from the wilaya of Naâma, the signing, last Thursday, of 21 final decisions to grant economic land intended for implementation of investment projects, hence the upcoming launch of the implementation of structuring projects at the level of several wilayas.
Mr. Rekkache was speaking on the occasion of the national meeting on the prospects of investment in strategic crops and the promotion of local breeds, organized in the wilaya of Naâma, under the patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and under the supervision of the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the presence of members of the Government, walis and organizations. employers, as well as farmers and professionals. These projects which “will be launched very soon”, will change the face of the wilayas concerned, including Annaba, Bouira, Béjaïa and Mostaganem, underlining the attachment to the distribution of these projects over different regions of the country, specified Mr. Rekkache.
After presenting the facilitations and advantages decided by the State for the benefit of investors, Mr. Rekkache reported 7,369 investment projects, including 179 at the major projects window and 126 projects linked to foreigners, since the start of the Agency’s activities on November 1, 2022 until May 26. As for the wilaya of Naâma, the DG announced that this wilaya will benefit from a “megaproject” for the manufacturing of wheels for large vehicles, affirming that the project is “in the final stages of negotiations”. In the same context, a concession contract was handed over today, on the sidelines of the national meeting, for the benefit of a private investor, who will carry out a paper transformation project, over a total area of 30 hectares, and this , at the industrial zone of Harchaia in the wilaya of Naâma. In this regard, Mr. Rekkache noted that this project had been registered at the Agency level on Thursday, and that the investor had received the concession contract “after only 2 hours and 30 minutes of registration, a record unprecedented in terms of duration”, thanks in particular to coordination with the Domaines management and the General Tax Directorate (DGI). It should be noted that the kick-off of this Meeting, organized by the wilaya of Nâama, under the aegis of the Ministries of Agriculture and the Interior, under the theme “Nâama: promising prospects for investing in “strategic agriculture and promoting local breeds”, was given in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Youcef Cherfa, the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning, Mr. Brahim Merad, the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Mr. Ali Aoun, the Minister of Hydraulics, Mr. Taha Derbal, and the Minister of the Environment and Renewable Energy, Ms. Fazia Dahleb.
