The National People’s Assembly (APN) organized, this Wednesday, a parliamentary day on “the importance of consolidating the Army-nation link to strengthen national cohesion”. This meeting was organized by the National Defense Commission at the APN, at the conference hall of the wilaya of Algiers. It was inaugurated by the president of the APN, Brahim Boughali.
On this occasion, Mr. Boughali stressed that the Algerian people have proven, since the beginning of the Revolution which liberated the country, their solidarity with their national army, when the mujahideen relied on its absolute support, embodied by operations of unlimited recruitment, great sacrifices and popular demonstrations.
In his speech, Mr. Boughali underlined the fundamental role of the Algerian National People’s Army, which presents itself as a bulwark preserving the unity and sovereignty of the nation, particularly in the current geopolitical context.
The President of the Lower House of Parliament estimated that this association gives an ideal and expressive image of the solidarity of the Algerian people with its institutions and its strong support for its army in the preservation of peace and stability, while devoting the deep national spirit and reflecting the manifestations of solidarity between the children of the same nation.
In this context, Mr. Boughali recalled the importance of this exceptional solidarity, underlined on numerous occasions by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, supreme commander of the armed forces, who affirmed that the National People’s Army remains an inseparable element. People.
The NPC Chairman also praised the army’s role in monitoring dangers, protecting borders, fighting terrorism and defending national sovereignty, as well as its participation with the people on various occasions. national, its contribution to the realization of development projects and its repeated interventions in the event of disasters and pandemics, considering this solidarity as an effective weapon which counters all the conspiracies hatched against Algeria.
Mr. Boughali concluded by specifying that the new Algeria, which managed, in record time, to overcome all the difficulties, realized that its strength lies in this national solidarity and in this unity oriented towards construction, armed with its history. and the reference of its victorious revolution, based on the principles of liberation and emancipation as well as on the dissemination of the values of freedom, justice and law.
It should be noted that communications around the theme of the meeting in its different aspects were presented by professors and experts, covering, among other things, “the historical context of the Army-nation link, the achievement of the institution military of its constitutional missions, in the light of eternal cohesion with the Algerian people”, “the cohesion of the Algerian people with its army, in strengthening the process of the new Algeria” and “the orientations of the military institution to achieve global security against the backdrop of current geopolitical changes”.
