Injaz El Djazair celebrated, this Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Higher School of Hotels and Restaurants of Algiers – ESHRA, the 13th annual ceremony for young entrepreneurs during which the winning projects were announced.
Organized under the sponsorship of the Ministry of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, with the support of Ooredoo Algeria as official sponsor, this ceremony was marked by the presence of Minister Yacine El- Mahdi Oualid, representatives of the Ministries of Industry and the Environment as well as executives from Ooredoo. Faithful to its commitment to promoting young Algerian talents, Ooredoo Algeria, official sponsor of the ceremony, celebrates youth entrepreneurship with Injaz El Djazair, thus confirming its corporate vision to support young Algerian talents carrying innovative projects. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Ali Azzouz, president of Injaz El Djazaïr, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the unlimited potential, creativity, audacity and talent of young Algerian entrepreneurs, he highlighted before the crucial importance of actively supporting and encouraging them by emphasizing that they are the driving force of innovation, economic growth and job creation in the country. He expressed his deep gratitude to the partner companies which support Injaz El Djazaïr’s programs year after year in various regions of Algeria and which aim through this citizen action to promote the genius and talent of young Algerian entrepreneurs. In his opening speech, Mr. Azzouz welcomed “the continued support of public authorities, in particular the Ministry of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research scientist. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to Ooredoo Algeria, official sponsor for this 13th consecutive edition.
He highlighted the major role that these actors play in supporting the young people that Injaz El Djazaïr promotes throughout the year in the areas of entrepreneurship and employability. Since the start of its activities, this collaboration has allowed the association to have a positive impact on the lives of more than 150,000 students spread across 49 wilayas. This remarkable result was made possible thanks to the dedicated commitment of more than 5,000 volunteers and the valuable collaboration of more than 100 major schools and universities who generously opened their doors. On this occasion, the general manager of Ooredoo, Mr. Roni Tohme declared: “As a company promoting innovation and creativity, Ooredoo is proud to support for the 13th consecutive year Injaz El Djazaïr, in the success of this prestigious annual competition dedicated to young entrepreneurs. Ooredoo’s contribution to this competition demonstrates its desire to further promote the excellence and innovation of young Algerian talents and promote their potential in the field of entrepreneurship. Mrs. Leen Abdel Jaber, executive director of Injaz El Djazair, warmly congratulated all the participants of this 13th edition as well as the volunteer coaches who provided their valuable support to the projects. She expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, sponsor of the ceremony for its continued support.
Likewise, she praised the commitment of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, universities and schools which opened their doors to Injaz El Djazair, thus highlighting their essential contribution to the entrepreneurial education of young people.
