The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, gave instructions, Thursday, during an evaluation meeting with regional directors, for the intensification of monitoring on the ground, in order to ensure supply regular markets.
During this meeting at the Safex Exhibition Center, Zitouni affirmed the importance of “ensuring periodic monitoring to regulate the market and ensure its supply, through coordination with all the wilayas concerned, alongside the strengthening of control by regional directorates, with a view to ensuring good management of the public structure.”
He also gave guidelines for “carrying out periodic field studies with the aim of identifying the needs of local markets for basic necessities, and therefore establishing a dashboard on the basis of real indicators”, indicated the ministry in a press release.
Zitouni also insisted on the need to formulate proposals for commercial investment projects, likely to contribute to job creation and to stimulate commercial activity in the wilayas, according to the characteristics of each region, in the framework for strengthening the economic assets of each regional direction.
Also, he called for the evaluation of the performance of each wilaya management, with the development of periodic reports containing proposals and solutions, emphasizing in this context the importance of creating regional markets during the seasons. of the harvest for the marketing of local agricultural products, in coordination with the wilaya services concerned and therefore contribute to the fight against speculation and monopoly.
The minister also discussed the governance of control in a “complementary” manner between the wilayas of the region in order to guarantee the effectiveness and sustainability of economic investigations, emphasizing the importance of organizing training sessions for the benefit of control agents. with the aim of moralizing their work and embodying a new prospective vision of control work in the field.
Regarding exports, Mr. Zitouni reaffirmed the need to support exporters at the local level and take care of their concerns, by developing a database containing information from producers and exporters at the regional directorate level. .
He also underlined the need to continue the usual dynamic in the organization of regional export fairs, such as “Algérie Expo”, “Ouest Expo”, “Est Expo”, “Assihar” and “Mougar”, by accompanying startups, small and medium-sized businesses, and by collaborating with the Superior Youth Council (CSJ) and the National Observatory of Civil Society (ONSC) by offering material and logistical facilities in collaboration with the services of the wilaya.
In the aspect relating to information and communication, the minister called for the organization of information days to make economic operators aware of all the new developments in administrative procedures, while emphasizing the need to unify the visual identity of communication media and to commit to the communication policy defined by the sector.
