The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, signed, this Saturday, a presidential decree convening the electorate for the holding of an early presidential election on Saturday, September 7, 2024, indicates a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
“Having regard to the Constitution, in particular its articles 85 and 91, paragraphs 7, 10 and 11, and articles 62, paragraph 2, and 246 of order 21-01 of 26 Rajab 1442, corresponding to March 10, 2021, establishing organic law relating to the electoral regime, modified and supplemented, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, signed presidential decree 24-182 of 2 Dhou El Hidja 1445, corresponding to June 8, 2024, summoning the electoral body for the holding of “an early presidential election on Saturday, September 7, 2024,” we read in the press release.
The same presidential decree sets the start of the exceptional revision of the electoral lists on Wednesday June 12, 2024 and its closing on Thursday June 27, 2024, adds the same source.
