The Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid, underlined the day before yesterday in Adrar, the determination of his sector to ensure support for entrepreneurial activity and the economic dynamics experienced by the wilaya.
This support includes training and financing for project leaders, particularly in the field of agriculture and industry, said the minister during his participation in the opening of a regional micro-activities fair, organized by the National micro-credit management agency (Angem) at the Adrar Regional Theater.
The minister launched the ”Tamkine” platform dedicated to local support and project financing, in addition to other measures that have been taken for the financing of micro-enterprises. . Mr. Oualid indicated, in this sense, that in application of the instructions of the high authorities of the country, it is planned to open a regional branch under the Algerian Start-ups Fund (ASF) in Adrar, in addition to the preparation of the organization of a national meeting in the coming days, on new technologies in agriculture, with the participation of Start-ups and innovative project leaders, in order to allow the agricultural sector to benefit from developed technologies locally, he said.
Stressing that his ministerial department attaches great importance to entrepreneurship in all its forms to contribute to the creation of wealth and employment, the minister noted that the wilaya of Adrar has recorded since 2020 the financing of more than 1,500 micro-projects through Angem, including 609 activating in agriculture.
In this regard, the minister affirmed that his department is committed to promoting the ambitious program initiated by the wilaya in agriculture, relating to the allocation of small plots of land to young people wishing to create micro-enterprises for the production of tomatoes at the level of the Mraguen agricultural area (North of Adrar), while guaranteeing them the necessary support.
Regarding the field of Start-ups, Mr. Oualid estimated that it too has experienced growth in this wilaya in the far South of the country, specifying that this observation is justified in particular by the support of the University ” Ahmed Drayia” from Adrar to innovative project leaders. He noted, in this regard, that 39 students are innovative project leaders in addition to one Start-up have been labeled, while the Entrepreneurship Development Center (CDE) and the business incubator have reports a total of 69 project leaders supported by university executives and those of the National Entrepreneurship Support and Development Agency (Nesda).
Responding to the concerns of participants in this economic event regarding the marketing of their products and services, the minister indicated that steps are being taken in coordination with the services of the wilaya for the creation of a permanent market.
These measures are part of efforts to encourage and support young people’s initiatives, and to remove obstacles, in addition to facilitating access to financing and procedures for launching projects, as is the case for self
entrepreneur, a status which currently has 39 self-entrepreneurs in Adrar, thanks to digitalization, argued the minister.
