The assessment took place amid escalating tensions, marked by daily Hezbollah attacks on northern Israel. During the meeting, Gallant was briefed on recent Israel Defense Forces (IDF) operations in the area and Israel’s efforts to thwart Hezbollah’s drone attacks.
Present at the assessment were Brig. Gen. Sagiv Dahan, Chief of Staff of the Northern Command; Brig. Gen. Amit Fisher, acting commander of the 146th Division; and Col. Ori Daube, commander of the 300th “Baram” Regional Brigade.
