Many brilliant students in final year classes fail the Baccalaureate exams, from the first time and with a score close to average. But, for this year, luck is in their camp for the simple reason that the Ministry of National Education has decided to include a fourth correction of the BAC exam papers. A very important and strategic measure at the same time, as Minister Abdelhakim Belaabed mentioned the day before yesterday Saturday in an interview with Public Television.
It seems that the State is seeking to change the success rate for the BAC exam which in 2023 was, remember, 50.63%. All resources have been mobilized for the Baccalaureate session June 2024, including the new measure decided, from this year, by the Ministry of National Education, namely to include a fourth correction of the Baccalaureate exam copies, and this , to have a higher, even record, BAC success rate compared to previous years.
Indeed, the Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belaabed revealed, the day before yesterday Saturday, during an interview given to public television, even on the eve of the start of the Baccalaureate exams, the decision of his ministerial department to include for this year a fourth correction of the Baccalaureate exam papers. “This is an important and strategic measure at the same time, because it will allow many baccalaureate holders, especially those who appeal, to have a better grade similar to that obtained during the trial exam,” declared, the day before yesterday, Saturday, the Minister of National Education during his interview with public television. Further explaining the advantages of this measure which, it should be noted, is a first of its kind in history, Abdelhakim Belaabed indicated that this procedure “aims to control the points obtained by each final year student so that they are valid,” the minister said. Stressing that the fourth correction consisted of comparing the final point obtained in the baccalaureate with the point obtained during the school year in the same subject and division, the Minister of National Education observed that “if there is no “There is no significant difference beyond the acceptable differences due to the three corrections, the fourth correction is accentuated to avoid any injustice to any candidate,” he declares. Abdelhakim Belaabed explained, during his interview given the day before yesterday to Public Television, that “this new procedure has been established in a global and complete manner and adds to the guarantee of correct and error-free grades for students in final classes », reassures the minister.
On the other hand, and regarding the results of the BEM, the minister affirmed that “the stability of the courses, the completion of the program within the set deadlines and the good conditions in which the tests took place will certainly have a positive impact on the results,” adding that “the opening of the correction centers is scheduled for June 11, and the announcement of the results by June 29 at the latest.” Regarding the Arts sector, Belaabed indicated that this session is experiencing new developments such as the introduction of the “Arts” baccalaureate, in application of the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, noting that “146 students enrolled in this course will take the exam. Concerning digitalization, Belaabed highlighted the scientific and technological orientation of the State and the creation of higher schools of mathematics and artificial intelligence (AI) and other schools “which have boosted the enthusiasm for mathematics sectors and technical maths, the orientation rate having reached 10% for the mathematics sector and 15% for technical maths. This rate should reach 20% during this session in accordance with the far-sighted policy of the President of the Republic,” he underlined. Furthermore, and from the far south of the country and more precisely in the wilaya of Bordj Badji Mokhtar, it is here that the Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belaabed chose the position to give the blow, yesterday Sunday sending the start of the Baccalaureate exams session June 2024 through which 862,733 candidates nationally will take the BAC exams in 2,893 examination centers. The Minister of National Education revealed, yesterday Sunday, that the results of the Middle School Certificate (BEM) and the Baccalaureate, session 2024, will be announced respectively on June 29 and July 20 at the latest.
