The 4th edition of “The forest is calling you” in Béjaïa
GOURAYA PARK On the initiative of Channel II of Algerian Radio
From the very famous Gouraya national park leaning on the heights of the pearl and very beautiful wilaya of Béjaïa, the fourth edition “The forest is calling you” initiated, created and organized by Channel II of the Algerian Radio of Amazigh expression will be launched this Saturday, June 22, 2024, this is what the organizers of this very great initiative announced yesterday Wednesday. After the first edition in Tikjda on the heights of Djurdjura, the second in Lalla Seti in Tlemcen, and the third in Seraidi in Annaba, the program for this fourth edition, hosted by the very beautiful city of BéjaÎa, will be a meeting you inevitable for nature lovers, even ecologists, to speak and raise awareness and to raise awareness of the importance of the fight against forest fires and the preservation of forest wealth and, through it, of the environment in general. Famous for its vast forest areas, such as the Akfadou forest, which is considered the lung of the region from an ecological point of view, but also historically since it was the stronghold of the historic Wilaya III Command during the glorious Liberation Revolution, the coastal and tourist city par excellence, Béjaïa, has already opened its arms to welcome the 4th edition in perfect conditions. This very great initiative of Channel II of Algerian Radio, which has economic, social and educational dimensions, will be officially launched from the Gouraya National Park through the holding of various live radio spaces from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. this Saturday 22 June 2024. In order to ensure the success of this initiative, the organizers of Channel II of Algerian Radio worked to involve a large number of official organizations and various social actors, as well as citizens in the different programmed radio spaces, believing that the success of such initiatives depends on widening the circle of participation of stakeholders in environmental issues in general, including experts and university researchers who hold scientific projects related to the protection of forests and the environment in general. This with the participation of Algerian Muslim Scouts in certain presentations and the organization of a competition for children with drawings related to the environment. As usual, this event will be an opportunity to discover the local products which characterize the wilaya of Béjaïa from an agricultural point of view, as well as traditional crafts.
