The Minister of Finance, Laaziz Faid chaired, on Thursday, a coordination meeting bringing together the general and central directors of the ministry, devoted to several areas aimed at strengthening the performance and modernization of financial management, in particular through the development of means of electronic payment and the preparation of the Finance Law (LF 2025), indicated a press release from the ministry. The meeting allowed “a detailed presentation of the electronic payment means development program”. Designed by the General Directorate of the Treasury and Accounting Management of State Financial Operations (Dgtcof), the said program aims to strengthen the use of electronic payment means to facilitate transactions and operations, to improve transparency, and to diversify the tools and systems to combat the parallel economy, via the generalization of e-payment means at the level of administrations in the financial sector and other sectors, as well as mobile payment for all banks” , specified the same source. Recalling the importance of this program to modernize the national economy and promote financial inclusion, Mr. Faid affirmed his commitment to “continue efforts to modernize financial management, paying particular attention to innovation and to performance”. The meeting also focused on the preparation of the 2025 Finance Law, adds the press release, stressing that “this year was marked by the launch of a new application “IADAD” dedicated to the preparation of the budget of the State, in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law relating to Finance Laws 18-15, aimed at modernizing and improving the process of developing the State budget, by automating this process and providing consolidated data in real time. .
Furthermore, “preparations for the celebration of the 62nd anniversary of independence (July 5) were also discussed at the level of the Ministry of Finance, a flagship event to celebrate the country’s achievements,” we read in the press release.
