For the second consecutive year, Ooredoo organized, in collaboration with the National Foundation for the Promotion of Health and the Development of Research (Forem), a solidarity action for the benefit of deprived families and orphaned children.
Thus, Ooredoo granted a financial donation to Forem, for the acquisition of sheep for the benefit of poor families and orphaned children, thus allowing them to perform the ritual of sacrifice and experience the joy of Eid el-Adha.
In a family atmosphere, this event was marked by the presence of the president of the National Body for the Protection and Promotion of Children (ONPPE), Ms. Meriem Cherfi, the wali delegate of Baraki, Mr. Abdelouahab Bertima , the president of Forem, Pr. Mostefa Khiati, representatives of Ooredoo, headed by Mr. Ramdane Djezairi, director of corporate affairs, who shared during this 3rd day of Eid el-Adha a friendly lunch with the children orphans at the Mohamed Hadjadj Center for psycho-sociological care of orphaned children located in Bentalha (Algiers). During this celebration, the children were surprised to meet public and artistic figures, like Mohamed Reghis (comedian), Chamseddine Amrani (DZ Joker) and Samir Ziane (Mister ‘Eid and unforgettable moments with the children.
It should be remembered that Ooredoo already organized a similar operation last year with the National Foundation for Health Promotion and Research Development (Forem). In this same spirit of solidarity, Ooredoo and Forem in partnership with ONPPE organized on the eve of Aid el Adha 2024 a gift distribution operation for the benefit of the students of a primary school in Aïn Boucif (Médéa) where the children who disappeared during the Promenade des Sablettes tragedy were educated. Faithful to its status as a corporate citizen par excellence, Ooredoo reaffirms, through this charitable action, its desire to celebrate the various religious festivals alongside poor Algerian families.
