Concours sur l’intelligence artificielle dans l’agronomie – Le Jeune Indépendant

The National School of Agronomy (ENSA) is organizing from next Monday to Thursday, in partnership with the National School of Artificial Intelligence (ENSIA), a competition intended for students from the two schools around artificial intelligence in the agronomic sector.

In a press release published this Saturday, ENSA announced that this competition, entitled “AgrI Challenge”, brings together students in artificial intelligence and agriculture to meet the challenges of plant classification using artificial intelligence.

“This event aims to promote teamwork between students from the fields of artificial intelligence and agriculture, through a common challenge of classifying plants from their images using artificial intelligence techniques and of computer vision,” underlines the same source.

This event will begin on Monday at ENSA, with an opening ceremony followed by a conference on botany and methods of identifying and classifying plants, then a preparatory workshop for the participating teams.

Subsequently, students will collect data and images of the plants for two days before traveling to ENSIA to develop a program using artificial intelligence techniques aimed at tackling the challenge of plant classification.

The event will end on Thursday with a closing ceremony and the presentation of prizes to the winning teams. “AgrI Challenge provides a unique opportunity for students to acquire new skills in the areas of image analysis and computer vision, and to foster collaboration between different disciplines, thereby strengthening their capabilities for innovation and teamwork,” concludes the press release.
