The president of the National Observatory of Civil Society (ONSC), Noureddine Benbraham, spoke, yesterday Sunday in Algiers, of the anticipated presidential election of September 7, believing that the future of the country is linked to this particular date of September 7 . “The character of the presidential election is a little special compared to local and legislative elections, in the sense that all socio-economic, cultural, political, diplomatic and security aspects are closely linked to the presidential mandate,” indicated the president of the presidential election. ‘ONSC.
Speaking on the airwaves of Channel III of the National Radio where he was the guest of the program ”Guest of the editorial staff”, Noureddine Benbraham, emphasized the role of his organization and the impact of this important electoral event for the nation.
Affirming that the ONSC is a stakeholder among all the stakeholders in the construction of this electoral process for which the revision of the electoral lists is launched, since the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, summoned the body electoral with a view to the fulfillment of electoral duty, at the beginning of June this year.
It is, he continued, for this reason that today in this pre-electoral stage, the context requires this citizen involvement.
Making it known that this (involvement, editor’s note) involves all of society with its elite, its youth organizations and the media to provoke debates that could raise awareness among young people about the importance of this meeting.
It is, he said, this awakening which obviously provides information on the importance of this meeting and of finding there the incentive tools for young people to register in the practice of their right of citizenship.
“The Observatory is, in fact, fully committed to local work by organizing forums, round tables, meetings with the media to provoke direct debates on the assessment of the achievements of Algeria today and of course around post-presidential perspectives,” added the guest on Channel III of the National Radio, referring to the initiation of a new model of non-classical communication channels. Methods where, he says again, people invite themselves into rooms to listen and speak or discuss via social networks.
Today’s young people, Noureddine Benbraham further indicated, rather prefer direct debate to express their expectations, their aspirations, their challenges and in particular to ask themselves what the alternatives are to achieve them. “It is in these terms that trust is established at the basis of the depth of language between the actors of civil society in order to move towards mutual, sincere commitments and real promises,” affirmed the president of the National Observatory of Civil Society.
