Youth employment in the youth and sports sectors in the Southern regions
Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui chaired yesterday, Wednesday, a meeting of the Government, devoted to the examination of a draft executive decree on budgetary control, the necessary measures to ensure the implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, concerning food security, in particular the strengthening of national capacities for grain storage. To facilitate the employment of young people in the youth and sports sectors in the southern regions, and those, specific, to strengthen the national system for preventing and fighting forest fires.
This draft executive decree on budgetary control is part of reforms aimed at improving the governance of public finances, by promoting the principles of transparency and accountability, and aiming for more efficient use of public spending.
The Government meeting also focused on the measures necessary to ensure the implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjd Tebboune, concerning food security, in particular the strengthening of national cereal storage capacities. These measures are crucial to guarantee food self-sufficiency and prevent shortages.
Regarding youth employment in the southern regions, concrete measures were taken during this Government meeting. In response to the instructions of the President of the Republic given during the Council of Ministers of June 23, 2024, the Government adopted several measures to facilitate the employment of young people in the youth and sports sectors in the southern regions. A progressive hiring plan will be put in place according to available resources, and the sectors concerned will have to take all necessary measures to achieve the set objectives. The Superior Youth Council will be involved to support this process.
Finally, with regard to disaster prevention, it was decided to strengthen national capacities. A call was made to adopt a proactive and preventive approach, improving early warning capacities and specific measures were discussed to strengthen the national forest fire prevention and control system, including the mobilization of all the necessary means, in particular water bomber planes. After the Government followed a report on the national assessment of major risks for the year 2023.
During the previous Government meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui, several files relating in particular to the improvement of the supply of AEP drinking water, the strengthening of national cereal storage capacities and the simplification of procedures granting of town planning acts, were examined. “The Prime Minister, Mr. Nadir Larbaoui, chaired, this Thursday, June 20, 2024, a meeting of the Government devoted to examining the various measures taken for the execution of the instructions of the President of the Republic, relating to the improvement of the supply of drinking water and the state of implementation of the special program he ordered to mitigate the impacts of the shortage of drinking water and develop water production capacities within the framework of a ambitious project aimed at sustainably responding to the needs of citizens and coping with water stress due to drought and climate change,” said a press release from the Prime Minister’s services.
