Les derniers hôpitaux de Gaza à l’agonie – Le Jeune Indépendant

Gaza health authorities are facing a serious energy crisis that threatens the operation of hospitals and oxygen stations in the Gaza Strip.

Health facilities in the enclave will cease to operate in the next 48 hours due to the exhaustion of the fuel needed to supply them.

This critical situation is the direct consequence of the prolonged aggression carried out by Israel against the Ghazawi population for nine months now.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health in Gaza warned this Sunday that “the remaining hospitals, health centers and oxygen stations will cease operating within 48 hours.”

This critical situation is due to the lack of fuel needed to power the electric generators, which the Zionist occupation “prohibits from entering Gaza, like other basic products such as medicine and food, as part of the tightening of the noose on the Gaza Strip.”

The ministry explained that despite the “severe and austerity measures” taken to preserve the remaining quantities of fuel for as long as possible, the stock is now almost exhausted.

This shortage jeopardizes the functioning of essential health structures in a context where Gaza is already suffering the disastrous consequences of the war.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli offensive has claimed more than 124,000 lives, including many civilians, and led to massive destruction and food shortages.

Faced with this unprecedented humanitarian crisis, the Ministry of Health has launched an urgent appeal to all relevant institutions, international and humanitarian, to intervene quickly to deliver the necessary fuel, in addition to the electric generators and spare parts needed for maintenance.

The situation is all the more critical as hospitals in Gaza play an essential role in caring for the numerous victims of the war. With the imminent depletion of fuel, thousands of lives are at risk.

These health structures are also necessary for the care of victims of bombings representing disabilities of different levels.

According to’NGO A non-governmental organization (NGO) is a non-profit association of public interest, which does not come under the control of the State or international institutions. Palestinian Authority, Network Rehabilitation Sector, approximately 10,000 Palestinians find themselves with varying levels of disabilities, a direct consequence of the Zionist attacks which have continued for nine months on the Gaza Strip.

The NGO published a report containing a stern warning about the serious repercussions of the ongoing Zionist aggression against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In the report, the group highlighted that the ongoing genocidal war “has led to the displacement of tens of thousands of people with special needs, subjecting them to harsh living conditions, without accessibility or access to medical supplies and assistive devices.” necessary, and are also facing deep psychological distress.”

The Palestinian organization notably reported that the attacks not only caused physical harm to thousands of Palestinians, including permanent disabilities, but also severely hampered movement and access to essential services for people with specific needs.

Zionist atrocities continue

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, at least seven Palestinians were martyred and others were injured yesterday in bombings by the Zionist entity targeting houses west of the city of Rafah and in the neighborhood of Al-Daraj, east of Gaza City.

On the 268th day of the Zionist aggression, fighter planes of the Zionist occupier bombed a house west of Rafah, south of the enclave, leaving six martyrs, including children, as well as several injured, underlines Wafa which cites local sources.

The artillery of the Zionist occupier also bombarded the southern areas of the city of Rafah, causing several injuries, add the same sources, reporting other attacks that targeted the center of Rafah.

Furthermore, explosions and heavy gunfire were heard in the neighborhoods of Tal Al-Sultan and Al-Saudi, west of the city of Rafah, while the aviation of the Zionist entity targeted the towns of Abasan and Khuza’a, east of the town of Khan Younes, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

In the east of Gaza City, a Palestinian was martyred and others were injured in a bombardment by occupation warplanes that targeted a residential apartment in the Al-Daraj neighborhood.

The Zionist occupation’s artillery also shelled Palestinian homes near Barcelona Park in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of the city of Gaza, where smoke rose from the targeted area.

The Zionist occupier’s warplanes also launched missiles on the neighborhoods of Al-Tuffah and Al-Shuja’iya, east of Gaza City, and on the neighborhood of Al-Sabra , when artillery bombardments targeted houses in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, leaving several martyrs and injured.

It is worth noting that the death toll from the Zionist genocidal aggression against the Gaza Strip increased yesterday, according to the Palestinian Health authorities, to 37,877 martyrs and 86,969 wounded, since last October 7.

Palestinian health authorities reported that a number of Palestinian victims were still under the rubble and on the roads, and that occupation forces were preventing ambulances and Civil Defense teams from reaching them.

Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist army has carried out a savage aggression against the Palestinian enclave which has resulted in massive destruction of infrastructure, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
