Diplomats and foreign officials who took part in economic meetings, like the bilateral business forums between Algeria and the Czech Republic, Pakistan, Tanzania, in addition to a forum under the theme “Trade Opportunities and investment in Algeria: discover the new commercial landscape within the framework of Zlecaf”, organized during the 55th edition of the Algiers International Fair, highlighted, at the closing, the day before yesterday Saturday, the numerous investment opportunities offered in Algeria. Calling on businesses in their countries to seize them.
Pakistani Ambassador to Algeria Khalid Hussain Gudaro called on his country’s companies to take advantage of the investment opportunities offered in Algeria as well as the favorable business climate. His Czech counterpart, for his part, praised the role of economic diplomacy in developing bilateral cooperation between the two countries. While the Executive Director of the Tanzanian Investment Center invited economic operators from his country to “come and work in Algeria to conclude partnerships with their counterparts.”
For his part, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Vladimir Mana expressed his country’s wish to develop cooperation with Algeria in strategic sectors, like the energy, mining, agriculture, and the knowledge economy. While Tanzania’s ambassador to Algeria, Iman Salom Ngalikai revealed that his country was working to stimulate the Algerian economy. Noting that the Algerian economy is doing well and it is not surprising that it is the 3rd largest economy in Africa currently.
The 55th edition of the Algiers International Fair (FIA), which saw the participation of more than 700 local and foreign companies, attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors and was marked by the return of Canada, the Czech Republic and Turkey as guests of honor. It ended the day before yesterday, Saturday, after a week of intense activities and fruitful exchanges between Algerian operators and their counterparts from more than 30 countries who participated in this event organized under the slogan “Exchange gateway, partnership and investment opportunities”. Many companies were able to access the world of export and actively contribute to boosting Algerian exports excluding hydrocarbons, which should reach 30 billion USD by 2030.
Inaugurated last Monday by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the FIA ​​is a new stopover which illustrates the significant progress experienced by the locomotive of development in Algeria, through national companies which have proven their skills and capacity to present modern and competitive products against global products in various fields.
