The President of the Higher Council of Youth (CSJ), Mustapha Hidaoui, affirmed yesterday in Algiers that Algeria has regained its vitality and has reconciled with its youth, who represent a high percentage of the population estimated at 70%. Highlighting the opening of the field of interaction with young people through discussion spaces in order to strengthen the links of dialogue, self-development and participation in decision-making. “More than 6,200 young people are expected at the national gathering planned at the Promenade des Sablettes in Algiers and which will kick off today Wednesday, on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of independence,” he said.
Affirming that the objective of raising awareness among young people about politics is to involve them in the electoral process and enable elections to play a role in achieving local development, while reinforcing the gains made by young people in recent years, while seeking more results in the future.
Speaking on the airwaves of Channel I of the National Radio, where he was the guest of the program ”Morning Guest”, Mustapha Hidaoui, on the occasion, stressed the importance of the upcoming presidential election for young people, reiterating his call to this section of society to strengthen the culture of participation in public life by getting involved in the process of building and participating in the political act that determines the fate and future of the country. Not without recalling the attachment of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune to give young people the place that suits them, emanating from a sincere and real will.
“The participation of young people in the electoral process that Algeria will experience at the end of the current year will bring about a radical change and will constitute an important turning point in the history of Algeria, especially in the current context of global circumstances surrounding Algeria,” he said.
Last Wednesday, the president of the Higher Youth Council (CSJ) affirmed in Tipasa that the involvement of young people in public life and in various initiatives serving the homeland in a positive and responsible manner is important.
“Algeria is preparing to hold a presidential election next September, a key event that will determine the country’s path forward for the next five years.
Young people therefore have the responsibility to get involved in a positive way in public and political life, because they are the future leaders,” he said at the opening of the 2nd edition of the volunteer camp at the Koléa Higher School of Management, in the presence of the Wali of Tipasa, Aboubakr Seddik Boucetta.
Recalling the initiative “Haya ya Chabab” (Go young people) launched by the CSJ with the aim of encouraging young people to register on the electoral lists, the president of the CSJ insisted, in this regard, on the imperative of the participation and involvement of young people in any vision, enterprise or initiative in the service of Algeria because they are the future of the country.
“The challenges of the 2019 presidential election, a period during which Algeria was seeking security and stability, are different from the challenges of 2024, which focus on building a strong Algeria, while strengthening its place on a global scale,” said Mustapha Hidaoui.
