Décès dans un accident du musicien Nourredine Saoudi – Le Jeune Indépendant


The famous Andalusian music performer Nourredine Saoudi died on Wednesday in a road accident in Tipasa, his family said.

Originally from Algiers, the late artist studied Andalusian music in 1978 at the Institute of Music in Algiers.

He was one of the founding members of Andalusian musical associations such as the Association “El Fakhardjia” (1981) and the Association “Es Soundoussia” (1986). He recorded several noubas in 2016 and was chosen as the first director of the Boualem-Bessaih Opera of Algiers.

The deceased was also a researcher in prehistory and geology.

He served as director of the National Center for Prehistoric, Anthropological and Historical Research (CNRPAH) from 1994 to 2001, before devoting himself to scientific research.

Many Internet users reacted to his death so that the world of Algerian music had lost an irreplaceable figure.
