The Company’s prospects are becoming clearer

Named after the late mujahid, Said Ait Messaoudene and located in the Bab Ezzouar business district (Algiers) not far from the country’s largest airport, Houari Boumediene, the national company Air Algérie welcomed, the day before yesterday Saturday, its new official domicile after several decades spent in the former headquarters located at Place Maurice-Audin in the heart of Algiers-Centre. Alongside members of the Government, local authorities, executives of the national company Air Algérie as well as several managers from different sectors, the Minister of Transport, Mohamed El-Habib Zahana was present, the day before yesterday Saturday in Bab Ezzouar, at the inauguration ceremony of the new headquarters of the national company Air Algérie, an architectural masterpiece that confirms the major trends and perspectives for which Air Algérie is preparing for its future. Congratulating the national company for the acquisition of its new jewel, the Minister of Transport and in front of the crowd present at this inauguration ceremony affirmed his great desire to support Air Algérie in meeting the challenges.
“The inauguration today of the new headquarters, an architectural masterpiece, is an important step in the strategy of redeployment of the Algerian fleet in the world, it perfectly reflects the very promising prospects that the national company expects in the future.
An opportunity for me to reaffirm the great will of the ministerial department to support Air Algérie in meeting the challenge of performance and follow in the footsteps of the major airlines thanks to the will of its executives and the guidance of the country’s high authorities,” said Mohamed El-Habib Zahana on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Air Algérie headquarters. Referring to the 3rd place occupied by Air Algérie on the African continent, the Minister of Transport set the bar higher by affirming that the ambitions of the State and that of the national company are greater in the near future, “we must move forward on the path of evolution and development,” he said. Recalling the services offered by Air Algérie to citizens and the Algerian community established abroad, the Minister of Transport indicated that “Air Algérie is a civic company which works to ensure connections to citizens within the country and bring the national community established abroad closer to its country and offer a public service that meets the aspirations of these customers” he confirmed.
Also present at the inauguration of the new headquarters of the national company, the Chairman and CEO of Air Algérie, Hamza Benhamouda, expressed his great joy for this new jewel, while indicating that the inauguration of this new headquarters also opens “a new chapter in the history of the national company Air Algérie to achieve greater performance and improve its competitive capabilities,” he said. “The inauguration of the headquarters of Air Algérie, in the midst of celebrating the 62nd anniversary of Independence and Youth Day, strengthens the determination of the staff of the national company to move forward and continue building a modern, efficient and competitive company,” added the CEO of Air Algérie.
Built by the Chinese company Chinese State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), the new Air Algérie headquarters is made up of two separate blocks, A and B, connected by a corridor, offering modern workspaces on five floors and able to accommodate more than 1,000 employees.
