The Ministry of National Education announced that tenured teachers can submit a request for transfer to another wilaya via their personal account on the ministry’s digital platform, by registering in the space reserved for them.
In a press release made public on Tuesday, the Ministry of Education discussed the procedures for submitting transfer requests from one wilaya to another for teachers and directors of schools at the three levels (primary, middle, secondary).
From now on, the persons concerned must formalize their requests online (platform http://ostad.education.gov.dz for teachers or the platform of the supervising ministry for heads of establishments) from Sunday July 21 at 3 p.m. until Tuesday August 20 at midnight. Applications will be processed according to the availability of positions.
The ministry also specifies that directors who have submitted requests to local departments of National Education must submit their requests via the platform.
This platform (Ostad.education.gov.dz), it should be noted, was put into service as part of the modernization, aimed at making the professional life of teachers easier, by offering them a variety of services accessible remotely.
In addition to facilitating the transfer application process for teachers and subsequently finding out about the results, the “Teachers’ Space” platform allows teachers to access the latest news on training and communicate with their colleagues. It also offers them the opportunity to participate in seminars and various training courses.
The portal in question is designed as a one-stop shop allowing this category of civil servants to electronically manage various administrative and educational aspects. It allows access to administrative documents (employment certificate, pay slip, etc.), educational documents (downloading of reports, annual progress, etc.), educational groups (displaying and printing lists of student groups, sending educational remarks directly to parents via their dedicated space, entering grades, etc.). Teachers can also submit their various concerns by direct messaging to the entity concerned.
Among the services offered, the ministry also cites sending educational comments to parents, and many other features. It should be noted that the registration process is simplified.
To register on this platform, the teacher must obtain a work certificate with a unique identification number, stamped and signed by the director of the educational institution. Then, the teacher must access the website https://ostad.education.gov.dzregister on the site, print the form and give it to the director of the establishment to activate the teacher’s account on this site.
