Algerian international Houssem Aouar has officially joined Saudi club Al Ittihad Jeddah, the Saudi club announced on Tuesday on the X platform.
Aouar leaves Europe at the age of 26, a year after playing in the Italian Serie A with AS Roma.
The player trained at Olympique Lyonnais signed a 4-year contract with Al-Ittihad, who finished last season in 5th place in the Saudi championship, dominated by Al Hilal of Riyadh.
In Saudi Arabia, he will be trained by Laurent Blanc, his former coach at Olympique de Lyon, and will be reunited with N’Golo Kanté and Karim Benzema.
