African U-16 Tennis Championship: National teams at work in Egypt

The Algerian U-16 “boys and girls” teams have been hard at work since Sunday evening in Cairo, Egypt, in preparation for the African Championship in the category (by teams) which will begin on Tuesday, APS learned from the Algerian Tennis Federation (FAT). The boys’ national team is composed of Mohamed Kamyl Chebboub, Fares Belamiri and Mohamed Fadhel Maneceur, while the girls’ team will see the presence of Maria Badache, Rios Ould Bouamama Alix Sophia and Kawter Abidat. The Algerian athletes will know their opponents on Monday evening, after the draw, which will be preceded by the technical meeting of the team captains. According to the same source, this meeting is a qualifier for the Davis Cup Juniors (Boys) and the Billie Jean King Cup Juniors (Girls). The Algerian girls’ team is the reigning African Champion, it should be recalled. On Egyptian soil, technical supervision is provided by coaches Ahmed Ouadane and Aida Baira.
