Sixteen elements supporting terrorist groups were intercepted in one week by detachments of the National People’s Army (ANP) during separate operations across the national territory, an operational report from the Army indicated on Wednesday.
“In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of the ANP carried out, during the period from July 10 to 16, 2024, several operations which resulted in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory,” notes the same source.
Furthermore, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out across the military regions, 57 drug traffickers foiled attempts to introduce 5 quintals and 96 kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, while 21.6 kilograms of cocaine and 449,727 psychotropic tablets were seized.
