A well-elected President, a strong President!

The various candidates in the running for the presidential candidacy have all submitted their respective applications and will have to wait a few days to see the Constitutional Council rule on the claims of each of them in the presidential race. Since the outgoing President, candidate for a second term, convened the electorate, officially launching the electoral process, the machine has been set in motion and nothing can stop it until the Algerians, once again, choose the one they consider worthy of presiding over the destiny of the country.
Candidates must now wait for their applications to be examined by the Constitutional Council, which will verify the conformity of the candidacies with legal and constitutional requirements. This crucial step ensures that only eligible candidates who meet all the required conditions will be able to participate in the electoral campaign. The validation of candidacies by the Constitutional Council is therefore a decisive step that precedes the official start of the electoral campaign.
For them, it will be a question of passing the test of validation to see themselves projected onto the media scene for a communication campaign where they will have to display and explain their respective programs and visions to show how they envisage continuity and/or change in an Algeria condemned to advance to achieve modernity and to prevail among the great nations of this world.
During this campaign period, each candidate will have the opportunity to speak in the media, meet with voters and present in detail their projects and proposals for the country. The electoral campaign is a key moment when candidates seek to convince voters of the relevance and feasibility of their programs, while highlighting their skills and vision for Algeria.
In this electoralist momentum that consecrates democracy and alternation in power, the citizen, the voter has a very great responsibility, that of fulfilling his part, which is the most important, by committing to the part of the process that concerns him, and this in two stages. The first stage is when he becomes aware that he is an actor in this dynamic and that he must play his role; which is only possible if he informs himself by listening to the interventions, speeches, declarations and programs of all the candidates in order to identify what best meets his aspirations and needs as a young person, a father, a stay-at-home mother, a working woman, etc. The citizen must be attentive to the different speeches and proposals in order to make an informed choice.
The media plays a crucial role in informing the public about different election platforms and providing a platform for candidates to present their ideas.
To do this, he must arm himself with lucidity so as not to give credence to fanciful promises and mythomaniacal speeches, and with civic objectivity to understand that his personal, individual interest consists in that of the national community to which the different candidates will address themselves. Lucidity and objectivity are essential to avoid the pitfalls of unrealistic promises and to evaluate candidates on the basis of rational and pragmatic criteria. The citizen must base himself on verifiable facts and concrete proposals to judge the credibility of candidates.
The second time is when, after having capitalized on understanding the objectives, issues, challenges and what is at stake, overall, through the presidential election, he must, as a citizen of voting age, fulfill his electoral duty and choose the personality who will have best met his expectations and his way of seeing the future, his own and that of the Algerians and of Algeria. Voting is the culmination of the process of reflection and information. It is the moment when the citizen expresses his choice and actively participates in building the future of his country. Each vote counts and contributes to the legitimacy of democratic institutions.
Every Algerian man and woman is free to make their choice, which they will express at the ballot box, provided that they express it. Because participation in elections is a responsible civic act that ensures the stability and permanence of institutions and gives them well-elected officials, and therefore strong officials, with a strength that allows them to ensure rigorous, legitimate and uncompromising governance of the country.
A well-elected President, who has millions of votes behind him, is strengthened in his vision, in his convictions and does not back down from any obstacle to honor his commitments, because he knows that he draws his strength from an indisputable democratic representation. A strong electoral turnout strengthens the legitimacy of elected officials and ensures political stability necessary for the good governance of the country.
It is also this internal strength that gives this President, well elected, the strength to govern abroad and to be a legitimate and uncontested interlocutor before international bodies. Democratic legitimacy gives the President authority and credibility on the international scene, thus facilitating negotiations and diplomatic relations. Voting is therefore not only a useful act, but a salutary act that allows the country to navigate, for the time of another alternation, with favorable winds with a legitimized and strong helmsman at the helm. A successful election, with a high turnout and a clear choice of the population, makes it possible to stabilize the country and give it the means to achieve its ambitions, both nationally and internationally.
