About fifteen factories have been recovered as part of the program to recover stolen funds and the process of restarting their activities, the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production said on Monday.

Accompanied by the Minister of Transport, Mohamed Habib Zahana, Mr. Aoun after inspecting the industrial unit, gave a number of directives regarding the transformation towards a new management style and openness to the economic environment. He also ordered the launch of a new recruitment process and the delivery of a new work tool, as well as the delivery of the first orders before the end of August.
The minister announced that this plant “will immediately provide materials and pipes to organizations that have an ongoing program to supply certain areas with drinking water, especially the diversions. Specifying that this will be a support for Cosider and other organizations linked to the irrigation sector.
It should be noted that the handover of this industrial unit, abandoned and closed for over a year, was an opportunity to take stock of its progress. In order to resume industrial activity as soon as possible, the company signed two agreements with the National Company for the Distribution of Construction Materials and the National Office for Irrigation and Drainage of Water for the supply of materials and the supply of products.
According to the explanations provided to the minister, this industrial unit, specialized in the production of large-sized pipes, was built with advanced and modern technologies on an area of 12 hectares and could, in the future, with the help of the National Office of Irrigation and Water Evacuation, be expanded.
It was also clarified that with the peak of industrial activity and the completion of the exploitation process, it can contribute to the creation of 360 jobs. The minister was also informed that the national public works company began last week to put the factory back on its feet and invite former workers to resume activity. Initially, 100 workers were recalled to resume their posts in the factory while waiting for the rest of the workforce.
It is worth noting that as part of the program of this visit, the ministerial delegation also inspected the development of Mostaganem airport and the airbase for medical evacuations and firefighting at Sayada airport.
