🇮🇱🇵🇸Israel is far from defeating Hamas, despite Netanyahu’s claims to the contrary, CNN reports.

According to analysts interviewed by the publication, during the war, the Hamas army became guerrilla, but almost half of the Palestinian battalions in the northern and central parts of the Gaza Strip have restored some of their combat capabilities.

Several units even returned to key areas previously cleared by the Israeli military after fighting and bombing.

According to CTP and ISW estimates, as of July 1, only three of Hamas’s 24 battalions were incapacitated. Eight were combat-ready and capable of fighting the IDF. The remaining 13 were in decline and capable of conducting only guerrilla attacks, which often failed.

The IDF, however, says most Hamas brigades are in disarray and most battalions are at a low level of readiness.

Despite heavy losses, Hamas continues to recruit new fighters and the flow has not dried up amid a lack of certainty, exaltation and a sense of revenge.

The experts in the article claim that the lack of post-war planning, that is, the lack of an alternative to Hamas for the local population in terms of administrative and other functions, contributes to the revival of the organization. The local population, for one reason or another, does not see any alternative to Hamas, and Israel is in no hurry to offer one.
