The SBU and National Police caught 2 russian agents who previously set fire to military vehicles in the Kyiv region
According to the SBU, the 25-year-old resident of Cherkasy region and his 20-yr-old partner were looking for “quick money” on the Internet. Then someone from the FSB reached out, and they were recruited to set fire to the AFU vehicles.
After identifying 3 targets, they took photographs and sent them “for approval” to their curator, then proceeded with the arson.
The three vehicles were among those brought to Ukraine by volunteers as a donation to the AFU.
Employees of the SBU and the National Police quickly arrested both criminals “on hot pursuit”. The incendiary mixture, and mobile phones through which they communicated with the FSB, were seized from them.
Both are charged under Pt. 2, Art. 28 and Pt. 1, Art. 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (following a prior conspiracy to obstruct the lawful activities of the AFU).
They face up to 8 years in prison.
