Russia suffers heavy losses in two large-scale offensive attempts in Donetsk region.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled two major assaults of the russian army in the Kurakhove direction in the Donetsk region during the week. This was reported by the 79th Separate Air Assault Tavria Brigade on its Facebook page. The servicemen also published a video of the destruction of russian equipment.

During two unsuccessful offensive attempts, Putinistan used almost 140 units of military equipment. During the last attack, which became known on July 30, the russians used 10 tanks, 47 infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), 10 motorcycles, one buggy. But the assault was repulsed, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to hit or destroy 12 infantry fighting vehicles, eight tanks, nine motorcycles and one bag. 36 russian servicemen were killed, 32 were wounded.

On July 24, the 79th Separate Air Assault Tavria Brigade reported another large-scale offensive attempt by the russian army in the Kurakhove direction. Then the russian military used 11 tanks, 45 infantry fighting vehicles, one Terminator tank support combat vehicle and 12 motorcycles. The assault attempt was also repulsed, and the losses of the russian Ministry of Attack amounted to six tanks, seven infantry fighting vehicles, 12 motorbikes. 37 wounded.

On July 23, the Chief of the British Defense Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, said that since the beginning of the war, the Russian army has lost 550.000soldiers. According to him, it will take Putin five years to return the army to the strength of February 2022, as the war drags on, and the prospects for ending it are practically not visible. Another five years will be spent on “correcting weaknesses”, which this battle revealed.

Many russian soldiers currently on the front lines have poor training, so volunteers, mobilized or convicted, who are not able to carry out complex operations, are often thrown into battle.

NATO previously noted russia’s lack of manpower to continue its active offensive in Ukraine. “What they have to do is order undermanned, inexperienced units to move forward to achieve unrealistic goals,” a senior alliance official said, stating that Putin would have to announce a new mobilization to organize a major offensive – an opinion shared by almost all pro-war Z-channels.
